Two sources, different jobs
The Steam achievements page is useful for the achievement name and Steam-side completion state. The official Wiki Achievements (Survivors) page is the source to use for a documented condition, map, mode, character relationship, or reward. These are different fields and should not be collapsed into one sentence.
A percentage on Steam tells you how many players have unlocked an achievement. It does not explain how to unlock it. Likewise, a hidden achievement title is not a step list. If the Wiki does not expose a current condition, this page records the condition as unknown instead of translating the name into an instruction.
A reliable achievement checklist
Open Steam first to identify the exact achievement label and whether your account reports it as complete. Then use the official Wiki to locate the matching condition. Copy only the fields the Wiki actually states. If you see a mismatch, preserve both values and label it for recheck. Finally, test the condition in the stated mode or map and record the build context only as a practical note, not as part of the official requirement unless the source says so.
- Match the exact achievement name across Steam and the Wiki.
- Read the Wiki condition instead of guessing from the title.
- Keep completion percentage separate from the unlock method.
- Mark hidden or conflicting information as unknown or pending review.
How to write an achievement step
A useful step includes the documented action, the required mode or map when stated, the relevant character or reward when stated, and a source link. It does not add a guessed trigger, a translated hidden title, or a guarantee that a single build is required. This style may leave some rows short, but it keeps the guide trustworthy and easy to recheck after updates.
| Field | Allowed evidence | Do not substitute |
|---|---|---|
| Name | Steam achievement page | A paraphrase that changes identity |
| Condition | Official Wiki description | Hidden title or unlock percentage |
| Mode / map | Explicit Wiki wording | A player guess from a screenshot |
| Reward | Explicit source relationship | Assumption based on the achievement name |
When the source is incomplete
Write unknown and link the source. That is a useful result because it tells the reader what has not been confirmed and prevents a false route from spreading. Recheck the Wiki and the latest official update notes after a release; do not fill the gap from an unrelated game or a community translation.
